2015-16 U18 National Championships Selection Criteria

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the challenges with the weather at the beginning of the competition season AOA has adjusted the U18 Selection Document as follows:

• Athletes are not required to have competed in SL and GS, but are required to be an active FIS athlete in the 2015/2016 season.
• Athletes will be ranked with a maximum value of 300 points in both SL and GS. A tie shall be broken by the athlete’s actual points on the 8 th FIS list.

Alpine Ontario Alpin has been allocated a total quota of 40 spots and it will be divided 20 Male and 20 Female.

Athletes will be qualified for the 2016 U18 National Championships based on:

FIS Points list 8 – valid Jan 28, 2016 using SL points and GS points totaled creating a provincial rank.

Athletes wishing to be considered for selection for U18 Team Ontario must submit intention to AOA Technical Director Brad Lashley at lashley@alpineontario.ca by Jan 15, 2016.

Selected athletes will be contacted by AOA staff by Feb 5, 2016.

Any additional requests for consideration must be received by AOA by Jan 30, 2016 and submitted to AOA Technical Director.

Team Ontario will have an AOA Team Captain and all athletes and coaches will be personally responsible for all accommodation and travel expenses.
