The Mid-Winter Can-Ams are being held in Southern Ontario this year. Craigleith is hosting the Giant Slalom on Feb 18th and 19th and Devil’s Glen Ski Club is hosting the Slalom on February 20th and 21st .

U16 athletes will be joined by National Team members James (Jack) Crawford and Brodie Segar. The National Team athletes will be actively participating in the GS events on the 18th and 19th. From forerunning the course, to commentating, and to being available post-race on the 18th, U16 racers will have a great opportunity to interact with Crawford and Segar and learn what it takes to make the national team.

There is something for the parents as well! After the second day of racing, February 19th at approx. 3:00pm, (before the Awards Ceremony), parents and athletes are invited to an information session hosted by Alpine Ontario Alpin.

Each info session will be held within the hour post-race and pre-awards in Craigleith Ski Club’s Main Lodge in the Brown Bag room. Parents and athletes will receive information from, and be able to ask questions of, representatives of:

• AOA
• LSDA
• SOD Ski Team
• National Ski Academy
• NCO Ski Team

Each presentation will be approximately 10 minutes in length.
